Holy Week (Day 6)
(Resurrection Sunday)
Prophecy — Psalm 16:10
“Because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,
nor will you let your faithful one see decay.”
Fulfillment — Matthew 28:6
“He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.”
Reflection
The resurrection changes everything. If the cross represents sacrifice, the resurrection represents victory. The tomb was sealed. The stone was in place. Hope seemed lost.
But God wasn’t finished. Three days later, everything changed. The stone was rolled away, not so Jesus could get out, but so we could see in. The tomb is empty.
This is the foundation of the Christian faith. Without the resurrection, the cross is just a tragic ending. But with it, it becomes the turning point of history. Death has been defeated.
Sin has lost its power. Hope has been restored. And this isn’t just theological, it’s personal.
The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is the power at work in us.
That means:
Resurrection is not just something we celebrate once a year.
It’s something we live in every day.
Application
Prayer
Jesus, thank You for the victory of the resurrection. Help me live with bold faith and renewed purpose.
FINAL THOUGHT
From prophecy to fulfillment, every detail points to Jesus. This isn’t just a story, it’s an invitation. To surrender. To follow. To be transformed.
And your story is part of what God is still writing.

That means:
- Your past doesn’t define you
- Your sin doesn’t have the final say
- Your story isn’t over
Resurrection is not just something we celebrate once a year.
It’s something we live in every day.
Application
- Where do you need resurrection hope in your life?
- How would your life change if you fully believed Jesus is alive?
Prayer
